My printer is showing an Error code of OXB9808BFC How do I get it back up and working?

I understand you are getting the error code OXB9808BFC on your HP OfficeJet 3830 All-in-One Printer typically indicates a firmware or hardware issue. Here are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve this error:

 

Step 1: Power Cycle the Printer

  1. Turn off the printer by pressing the power button.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer and from the wall outlet.
  3. Wait for at least 60 seconds.
  4. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet and then into the printer.
  5. Turn the printer back on.

Step 2: Check for Paper Jams or Obstructions

  1. Open the printer and check for any paper jams or obstructions.
  2. Carefully remove any jammed paper or objects.
  3. Close the printer and try printing again.

Step 3: Update Printer Firmware Update the firmware on an HP printer

  1. Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page.
  2. Enter your printer model (HP OfficeJet 3830) and select your operating system.
  3. Download and install the latest firmware update for your printer.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update process.

Step 4: Reset the Printer

  1. With the printer on, disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
