Both the color and the black ink cartridges are brand new. They are both HP official ink cartridges. I did the cartridge clean, the second level cleaning, and the cartridge alignment adjustments, but nothing works. Here is the Print Diagnostic Page after the fifth attempt with a second level cleaning.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Align the ink cartridges for the best print quality.

  1. Lift the scanner lid.

  2. Place the alignment page with the print side down on the scanner glass, and then position it according to the engraved guides around the glass.

  3. Close the scanner lid.

  4. Touch OK to scan the page and complete the ink cartridge alignment.

Try to print.

I removed and then re-installed the programs and drivers as instructed. I even launched the HP Print and Scan Doctor program, which almost successfully printed out the magenta color, but there was a giant smudge across the bottom half of the magenta color block. After that single test page print that was almost successful it never printed the magenta color again and I am right back to the start of the same problem all over again.

Did you try the steps from my post? If you've another set of new cartridges, please try that to diagnose the issue between the Printer or the the set of new cartridges which you just got.

That is correct, I had followed the steps with using the alignment page to correct the printing issue and it did not correct the lack of magenta in the printing.

I recommend you to contact the HP Support Team regarding this as this could be a hardware /cartridge issue.
