HP OfficeJet 3831
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

So after 2 years of use, midway through October the printer started to have issues where it would take paper in and it would rip it or crimple it a few time, after a few tries the problem fixed itself and the printer worked fine. A day later when I was supposed to print quite a lot of documents using the printer the paper would go in a bit and then it would just get stuck. I could hear the rollers just spinning as it tried to draw the paper but it just didn't work. I checked every place possible, back where the print being fed in, front bay, cartridge area, even the little flap under the printer and nothing. Tried cleaning the rollers still nothing. There was no sign of paper being jammed there as the paper that would try to feed in would remain perfectly flat and straight with no wrinkles and just wouldn't feed in, like, I can hear the rollers spinning but other than that, nothing. The printer is out of warranty and I'm about to end my Instant Ink payment plan at this moment so perhaps I need some help with that as well if I cant fix the issue.

Last thing, if I just can't repair it,

A. Does any recycle center accept it?

B. What do I do with the extra Instant Ink Cartridges I have?

Hi @AndreiArgeanu

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Have you tried these steps yet?

If the issue still persists, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

To cancel your Instant Ink account, you may refer to - HP Instant Ink - Cancelling Your HP Instant Ink Service

To send the Instant Ink cartridges back to HP, you may request for recycling envelopes - HP Instant Ink - Recycling HP Instant Ink Cartridges

Have a great day!
