I bought my printer a little over a month ago. Since I bought it, I can not once get it to print in color. The color cartridge is brand new (never been used considering I can't get it to print color). I have de-selected the Black & White option while printing, but it prints in BW anyway.
Really really frustrating considering I JUST bought it, didn't do anything besides set it up according to directions, and it won't print in color. I have looked through the forums and found previous solutions to similar problems, but they aren't working for me.
Also - this is my second HP printer. I bought this one to replace my old one. I can't remember what type the old one was, but it worked fine in color. Same computer. Not sure why this one is any different.

Which application are you trying to print from?
Have you tried printing different types of documents like PDF, Word or Webpages and check if the issue persists?
Try making a standalone color copy and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.
Also, Print a Print Quality Diagnostic report

On the printer control panel, swipe left on the display, and then touch Setup
.

Touch Tools.

Swipe up on the display, and then touch Print Quality Report.
For now, let us try these steps:
Update the printer firmware
Click here to download and install the latest firmware from your MAC.
Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.
Also, check for any software updates on MAC

It won't print color regardless of what type of document I am printing. I just updated my Mac. I tried updating the printer, but it says that no updates are available. The print quality report was fine - it actually printed colors off. But I still cannot get anything else to print in color. I can't make a color copy, because I can't print anything off in color TO copy...

Install the printer using this driver from HP, click here to download.
Alternatively, use HP Smart app to print color documents and check if that helps.
