Hello,

Do you use genuine HP ink cartridges?
Are you enrolled the HP Instant Ink service?

In order to palliate this incident, please follow the instructions of the HP link Black or Color Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues.

Please update the printer firmware as follows:

  1. From the printer's front panel display, touch the Wireless icon () to retrieve the printer's IP address.
  2. Launch a web page, then type this address in the address bar and press Enter. The printer's Web interface opens.
  3. Click Tools tab, and then develop Printer Updates, and then Firmware Updates.
  4. Click the Check Now button to install the latest firmware update.

I remain at your disposal in case of need.

Best regards,

Thanks.  However, yes, two fresh genuine HP cartridges.  Yes, reinstalled drivers and firmware...twice.  Cleaned the print heads, twice.  Rebooted computer and printer, twice.  No, nothing helped.  We had a lot of power outages and surges lately.  Probably fried something by not shutting down the printer properly.  Now four months past warranty.

Don't have time to mess with it anymore. Turning it into a boat anchor and buying a new one.

Regards.
