OfficeJet 6958
macOS 10.15 Catalina

OfficeJet 6958 is utterly useless at this point after working just fine yesterday:

It has gone through the following in 24 hours:

-printer ink ran out so it needed to be replaced with $80 worth of HP brand ink...

-Began not printing black ink - fixed that with steps in the forum and printed 2 sheets in color with black ink

-Citied a paper jam (no paper is even in the printer) - cleaned following the protocols in other posts

-Printer carriage completely locked to the right side of the unit - still citing a paper jam with no paper present and a clean completed

-Cited a carriage jam when I was finally able to get the carriage to slide freely (so that I could clean any leaking ink and the printheads to avoid a jam)

-Carriage re-locked and cited a paper jam that is quickly followed by "printer maintenance" and given a "Printer Failure" with a very specific alphanumeric code

Based on all of the posts about this, it looks like this printer needs to be replaced... If there's more I can do to salvage this, please let me know.
