Once I was able to get the cartridges installed, I noticed that today (May 17) was the first day my 9135e started becoming unresponsive for no reason.  The Firmware version was updated to the latest (6.20.1.5-202403010422.  Here is the list from the event log:

Welcome to the HP Community --

I purchased my OfficeJet Pro 9135e back in February of this year.

Completely configured -- lots of settings.

Poof!

The printer collapsed into a steaming pile of refuse ... Constant F0.x errors.

To regain access to EWS after a particular brutal session of pounding on it, I unplugged the printer for two minutes (might have been three).

Plugged in - booted - waited while the printer completely booted.

and

The only was I was able to finally clear the interruptions,. errors, and occasional an complete lack of response was to Restore All Factory Defaults

When the printer was restarted again, it reported the firmware was updated.

Importantly, regardless of whether there was actually any firmware update, the constant errors finally stopped.

All good since then with a couple of minor hiccups.

What if?

If the Restore to Factory does not do the trick, contact HP Support and ask whether they have anything better.

Links provide later in this message.

Example - EWS - General > Restore Default Settings > Restore All Factory Defaults
