Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I bought this OfficeJet J6480 from costco a while ago (the model will tell how long), I think I used once so far, last year when I tried to use, it complained the "The right cartridge must be replaced".. I was wondering, why. since I have not really used this printer, but maybe the ink is "vanished"/frozen. So I went to Costco did a refill cartridge, but still got the same error..  Any thoughts or suggestion? The circuit/board are clean..

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

HP does not recommend you to refill or use non-genuine ink as it may damage the cartridge/printhead contacts.

Try using a HP Genuine ink cartridge to check if you still get the error message.

Try the steps from here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-officejet-j6400-all-in-one-printer-series/3635376/model/3635...

Let me know if this helps.
