First: My software language is Swedish possibly causing my terminology to be a bit off, but I hope you understand what I mean though. 🙄
OfficeJet Pro 6830, Windows 10 (64-bit), new ink carts and paper.
After a whole lot of struggle with missing drivers, uninstall/reinstall several times, Print and Scan Doctor, new ink carts (original) and so on, I finally reached the point where the printer is installed and working....sort of.... It prints the internal testpage without any issues, but NOT the one sent from the computer. Before asking for a print: the mark and model are identified, it's connected to the wireless network and current status is "0 documents in line".
As soon as I ask for a testpage print "1 document in line" flashes by, before changing into "Error".
The Print Dr does its thing and tells me to clear out the "Print job list" to fix the problem. Easily done and then trying again, but the same results every single time....
I've rebooted it after cutting the power completely off over night, and still the same...
The latest updates as far as I can tell.
The router is only 6 months old, no issues between that and laptop nor printer. There just seems to be something messing things up between laptop and printer.
I will try using a direct cable between laptop - printer, as soon as I've gotten one, but ANY possible solutions, suggestions or tips to fix this are sincerely appreciated! 🙏
Hopeful A

I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve the issue with the printer drivers. Let us try the steps below-
Restart the print spooler and try uninstalling the drivers
Press “Windows key” + “r” to get the “Run” window.
Type "services.msc" to get Services – Go to “Print spooler” – Right-click and “Stop” the service.
Now again open "Run" - Type “spool” and ok - Go to PRINTERS folder - delete everything in that folder.
Go to services again - Start the print spooler.
Now uninstall and reinstall the printer driver. Follow the steps below-
1) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2) Select your HP Printer
3) Select Uninstall
4) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’
6) Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.
7) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe”
😎 Click on the “Drivers” tab
9) Look for the HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10) Select Ok
11) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12) Close Devices and Printers.
Now, download and install the full-featured software from here.
If the issue persists, I would suggest you try the Windows built-in drivers. Follow the steps below:
• Go to Control Panel - Devices and Printers - Click on "Add printer" and follow the on-screen instructions.
• When the page prompts for the drivers, select "Windows update". The driver list will be updated.
• Click HP, Hewlett Packard, or Hewlett-Packard in the Manufacturer pane, and then click the name of your printer in the Printers pane.

AWESOME! A huge relief for sure!
The HP Printers - Installing and Using the Windows Built-in Print Driver document held the solution. I finally had to install it manually using the hostname. Fingers crossed that it works for the entire network now... I haven't checked that yet...
I wish you a great weekend!

Nothing to worry! It should work fine.
However, keep the printer under observation for a few days and see if it has fixed the issue.
Let me know if you need any further assistance.
