HP Officejet Pro 6835 e-All-in-One Printer

I've reset the printer, removed the ink cartridges and reinstalled them, the printhead is not removable, when I try to use the Printer Maintenance - Clean Printhead task from the printer's screen, a window pops open for less than a second and closes and Clean Printhead doesn't work. Is it possible that the ink jets are clogged where the ink cartridges sit preventing the ink cartridges from passing any ink to the ink jets?  Other than that, come on HP, be a hero - help me fix this printer. I just spent $$$ on new ink cartridges.

Hi @BSism1,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Error code 0xc19a0003 on an OfficeJet Pro 6835 indicates that there is a problem with the printhead. The printhead is a critical component responsible for delivering ink to the paper, and when it encounters an issue, it can result in printing problems and error messages.

To troubleshoot and resolve this issue, you can try the following steps.

  • Restart the Printer: Sometimes, a simple power cycle can fix temporary glitches. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for about 1-2 minutes, and then plug it back in. Turn on the printer and check if the error persists.
  • Check for Obstructions: Open the printer's cover and make sure there are no obstructions or debris around the printhead or in the ink cartridge area. If you find any debris, carefully clean it with a soft, lint-free cloth.
  • Inspect the Ink Cartridges: Ensure that the ink cartridges are correctly installed and have sufficient ink. Remove the cartridges, inspect them for any damages, and reinsert them properly into their respective slots.
  • Update Firmware and Drivers: Check the HP website for any available firmware updates or driver updates for your OfficeJet Pro 6835. Installing the latest updates can often resolve compatibility issues and improve printer performance.
  • Reset the Printer: Perform a reset on the printer to clear any internal error flags. To do this, refer to the printer's manual or the HP website for specific instructions on how to reset your model.
  • Run Printhead Cleaning: Most printers have a built-in printhead cleaning utility. Access your printer's settings or maintenance menu and look for an option to clean the printhead. Running this process may help resolve clogs or blockages that could be causing the error.
  • Printhead Replacement: If none of the above steps work, the printhead may be faulty or damaged. In such cases, you might need to replace the printhead.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
