OfficeJet Pro 7740
Linux

Hi,

just set up a new OJ 7740, it's connected through my Wifi router, I loaded A4 portrait in tray 1. I'm using Debian 9, using Gnome printer set up, the printer was immediately detected and installed.

Now, whenever I print a document (I have tried A4 so far), it comes out 50% condensed, so the width is only 1/2 A4 and all text and graphics are scaled horizontally by 0.5.

CUPS tells me this:

- `Driver: HP OfficeJet Pro 1175C - CUPS+Gutenprint v5.2.11 (color)`

- `Defaults: job-sheets=none, none media=iso_a4_210x297mm sides=one-sided`

What's going on here?

Thank you for help!

Solved - It seems `hplip` was not installed. After `sudo apt install hplip` and reboot, remove and re-add printer, it seems to print correctly now.
