OfficeJet Pro 8710
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My 8710 is on the network, I can use it through the IP address but can't print from my computer. I have done everything and more to try to get it to connect but nothing has worked, I'm about to be finished with HP again!

I suggest you uninstall the printer driver from root level and download the full feature software

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2.) Select your HP Printer
3.) Select Uninstall
4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’
6.) Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
8.) Click on the “Drivers” tab
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10.) Select Ok
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12.) Close Devices and Printers
13.) Restart the computer and download the Full Feature Software from Here and follow the onscreen Instructions

Keep me posted how it goes 😊

I suggest you download and run the HP Print And Scan Doctor from this Link: ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/printers/hppsdr/patches/HPPSdr.exe

Run PSDR v5.0.2

Once the PSDR detects the Printer, it will show up the IP address and Software Status.

Select the correct Printer and click on Next.

PSDR will check if the Printer is on the Network and communication between the PC and the Printer. Once the connection check is done, click on Fix Printing

Once PSDR goes through all checks and automatic fixes, click on Print a test page.

Regardless if PSDR printed the test page or not, click on “NO PRINT”

PSDR will then notify you that there is an update available, click on continue, and PSDR will apply the patch and ask for a reboot.

Post restart the PSDR will run automatically to check for more issue.  If no issue found close PSDR.

I have used this tool multiple times over the past month that I have been unable to print from this computer, even yesterday after the path you gave me didn't work.  I have had Microsoft level 1 & 2 tech's in my system still nothing.  The computer works great for everything but printing, it's a good computer.  My mobile device and my MS Surface work fine with the printer.  I've removed the Windows 10 update that I think was the reason it stopped working, I've taken all other printer drivers and software off my system, I've uninstalled and reinstalled both the full and the print only drivers multiple times, still nothing!  I will try to load drivers for a different printer today, if that works I will get a new printer, if not I will begin to look for a new computer.  The time I've wasted over the past month trying to fix this issue has been well in excess of what a new computer and printer would have cost.  Unless someone has something new to try, maybe in the firewall or something I'm not thinking of, it looks like I'm going to be getting something new (unlikely to be HP) soon.  Thanks

Been using that too, had MS L2 tech in my system yesterday too, fixed several corrupt file issues, several hours to complete the repair restart process, deleted and reloaded again drivers, still nothing.

At this point I suggest you perform a Reset and then download the Full Feature Software again to setup the printer
