HP Officejet 6600 e-All-in-One Printer series - H711
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

The wrong colors are printing on the officejet 6600.

Greens are showing up as pink, black seems brown, red is an orangy pink and very light.

I cleaned the printhead. The page that prints when it is done shows only the colors pink, very light purple, very light orange, and black.

I checked the ink levels. I did a "print quality Diagnostic test page" and the colors on it are  pink, yellow, black, grey and brown.

I did a "printer status report". Where it shows "ink delivery system" it shows magenta as a medium pink, cyan as a faded purple (almost brown), yellow is yellow and black is black.

I replaced the cyan cartridge with a new one, the new Printer status report shows cyan as a darker purple, almost blue. Printing a page from my computer that should have green, red, and black still prints with just pink, grey, and brown. Print quality report now shows purple, magenta, yellow, black, grey and brown.

It might be helpful to know what colors should display where, on the various test pages that print out. I can't find any reference to that online, just people saying check to see that the proper colors are printed on the test pages.

I'm think i had this problem before and I think I cleaned the printhead about 5 times in a row at that time. It did improve the color but it still was not as good as it should be, and I hate to clean the printhead so much since it depletes ink.

What can I try next.

Thanks for the printout of what the colors should be on that report! My colors are quite different. I will follow your link to troubleshooting and report back, thanks.
