I used my Officejet 6812 for a little over a year with no problem until I installed 4 new xl ink cartridges."There is a Problem with the Printhead" error message started the next day. My warranty expired 2 weeks before this so I put the printer back in the box where it has sat for the last five years. I got the printer out a few day's ago and have tried using the scan my product tool which downloaded the latest update to my printer but I still get the error message "There is a problem with the Printhead". . There is no release handle on the right side of the printhead carriage so I cant just replace the printhead.
Hi and thank you for your reply. I have tried unplugging while on, updating the firmware and there is no latch for me to replace the printhead. I have tried the scan doctor and still receive the message " There is a Problem with the Printhead" error message.
