Has anyone found a definitive fix for this?  When I print the test page, I do get the grays. But no black.  So no black in any of my printouts.  I've tried all the recommendations (reinstall printer and drives, repeatedly clean printer heads,  replace cartridges, etc).  Any answers before this printer ends up in the trash?

Having tried everything is a lot but there are no guarantees.

I have the same issue.  I have been using instant ink in all my printers for over a year.  My issue started back nearly in January 2021.  I did the firmware update as requested.  All was fine until I ran out of black ink.  I had already been sent a black cartridge so when the black ran out and told me to replace it I did.  I did notice that on a few pages the black ink was not truly black before I had to replace the cartridge.  Then I replaced it as requested.  It printed a few pages in light black then quit printing black but the colors print fine. 

 

I have done the cleaning multiple times including the deep cleaning.  I did printer alignment but no black lines print.  I called HP and they sent me another black cartridge and the same issue, no black prints.  I have reinstalled the full driver suite. I have done everything as recommended.  I hate to trash this printer because it has been good.  It was so good I bought a model 6970 that works fine.   ANY help would be appreciated.
