My 7410 printer will not start. When turn on the screen just repeating on HP invent and the power light is off. There is no parts movement inside.
I tried to open panel to check inside but do not have manual to open it.
Appreciated any help.
After couple weeks searching in HP Support and other webs, seems for HP 7410 boot issues are not new but most discussions are many years old. The useful blogs are no longer available.
If anyone knows how to open this model panel and share again, it could be big help.
Thanks again.

Hi @3ReadWork,
Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the "Power up*" issue.
If the printer uses an internal power supply, make sure the power module, power cord, and wall outlet are working correctly.
Step 1: Reset the power module and test the wall outlet
Unplug the printer to reset the internal power module, plug another appliance into the wall outlet to test the power, and then reconnect the printer.
-
Disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
-
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet, power strip, or surge protector.
-
While the printer is unplugged, plug another appliance into the wall outlet, and then turn it on to make sure the outlet works.
-
If the wall outlet does not work, plug the printer into an outlet that does work. Do not use a power strip or surge protector.
-
If the wall outlet works, continue with these steps.
-
-
After the printer has been disconnected for at least 60 seconds, reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
-
Plug the power cord directly into the wall outlet. Do not use a power strip or surge protector.
-
Check the rear of the printer and the ink cartridge access area to see if the internal power module has an indicator light.
-
If the internal power module has a light, the light is on, and the printer turns on, you can stop troubleshooting.
-
If the internal power module has a light and the light is on, but the printer still does not turn on, continue to the next step.
-
If the internal power module has a light and the light is off, skip to the step to Test the power with another compatible power cord.
-
If the internal power module does not have a light, continue to the next step.
Internal power module indicator light on the rear of the printer:
-
Screw
-
Indicator light
Internal power module indicator light in the ink cartridge access area:
-
Indicator light
Internal power module without an indicator light:
-
Step 2: Test the printer Power button
Plug the printer into a working wall outlet, and then test the Power button on the printer.
-
Make sure the power cord is connected to the rear of the printer and is plugged directly into a wall outlet.
-
Press and release the Power button to start a Power On/Off cycle. Do not hold the button down.
NOTE:
If you press and hold the Power button too long, the printer might turn on and then off without restarting. If this happens, press and quickly release the Power button again.
-
If the printer does not turn on, wait 10 seconds, and then press the Power button again.
If the power indicator remains off, continue to the next step.
Step 3: Test the power with another compatible power cord
If you own a similar power cord try using the printer with that power cord.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Good evening Jay_G24:
My HP 7410 has a external power module. The DC output is measured 32V.
Unplugged and plugged many times, the small display turns on every time but only shows HP invent with progress bar then repeat itself every couple of minutes.
Inside the machine, there was no movement, no sound at all.
I believed, the electronics not working (control pcb etc.) but no procedure to open it.
If anyone knows how and can share, it will be very much appreciated.

Hi @3ReadWork
I appreciate you trying all the steps, this seems like an hardware issue.
I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.
Have a great day!

Hi Jay_G24:
I did not see any "blue envelope" but was able to locate HP store about 5 miles.
For a old printer seems not worth to repair, I estimate the cost for repair probably can but a new printer.
As I said before, if anyone knows how to open printer panel to access inside and share. May be parts are available form ebay or amazon with low cost.
Thank you.

The parts in the printer are not customer replaceable n hence we suggest you contact the support team for further assistance.
Have a nice day!
