I tried installing the print driver on my wife's Asus convertible after upgrading from Windows 8.1 to 10. i got the exact same behavior. It didnt work - can't find my wired network printer. It's time for HP to step up and solve this. The driver on the web site hasn't changed since 7/29

Guys,
I think the team that did a build check for the Windows 10 drivers did a coffee break and just rubber stamped everything as good to go. At my work, I have a employee who has a Laserjet MFP printer (dont recall the model off the top of my head). When I install the full feature software directly from HP's website, it cant find the printer when connected with THE USB cord!!! I finally was about to get the driver only one to work in this case but the user is screwed from scanning.
Right now, my humble opinion is the only HP printers that work with Windows 10 are the non MFP printers and any legacy printers. I humbly request that if anyone from HP is watching this thread, please take note of these issues.

I agree with Mike. The full featured driver failed to detect muy 7410 that I had connect via USB. Windows successfully installed the basic drivers. HP doctor would "see" the printer and then suggest to install the Full Feature driver... Do loop. So needless to say, I tried to roll back to Window7. I do not suggest doing this. Nothing was right after that. I had to reload my OS so I tried a fresh install of Windows 10 and the only thing hook up was the printer. Again a failure! So I went back to Windows 7. Detected right away and works like a champ. HP please fix the full featured driver for windows 10 for the Officejet 7410. It is a great AIO.

Here is the answer. Instead of HP personnel or "experts" giving customers a laundry list of steps to take that do not work but also waste their customers valuable time, it would behoove them to thoroughly collect and analyze all the known variables of the issue and then post a well thought-out solution to the problem.
I must have "Googled" this issue 20 or so times and each time this post comes up in the top 5 results but none of the steps posted here have worked. Then I varied my inquiry in Google just slightly and just happened to come across a post from a volunteer HP expert that included the solution and it happens that HP has the wrong driver posted to the main HP driver download page for this particular printer.
When you select or have detected your printer -in this case the HP Officejet 7410, and select Windows 10 as the OS, the driver provided is labeled:
AIO_CDA_FSW_Full_Win_WW_140_408-5.exe
But this driver is actually a carry over from Windows 8.1 and earlier. The correct driver for Windows 10 is labeled:
AIO_CDB_Net_Full_Win_WW_140_408-5.exe
Notice the "B_Net" after the AIO_CD instead of "A_FSW". This appears to be a much more recent revision of the original driver but it is not posted to the main HP driver download page. It is only available from HP's FTP site here:
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/COL30951/mp-110165-3/AIO_CDB_Net_Full_Win_WW_140_408-5.exe
The only problem with this version of the driver is that it does not appear to support a wireless connection and does not offer this option when installing the driver. This could be why it is not yet posted to the main HP printer driver page but who knows. Support needs to get this fixed ASAP and get the latest driver revision posted to the main page ASAP!
How frustrating!

Thanks StarBlitz your solution worked perfectly for me.
To those of you that want to try this make sure you completely uninstall any other version of the HP All-in-One Solution software and reboot before running the install.
Thumbs up dude for a real working solution.

Unfortunely, it didn't work for me. Each time I get a Windows 10 update I try it again, by uninstalling, rebooting and installing again. Now it finds the wired printer, but gets a fatal error before finishing the install.
Fifteen months and it still doesn't work. I expect better from HP.
