HP Officejet Pro 8100 ePrinter - N811a/N811d

Hi - I can't find help for my blinking lights problem on my HP officejet Pro 8100 printer.

It appears to be a printhead problem, but can't be fixed and I can find no solutions or replacement head.

Hi Treeko - Thanks for the reply.

The knowledge page you sent me to was even less helpful than a similar page from the 8100 manual.

I still cannot find any specific info on the error lights (all 4 ink lights blink).

I was hoping that someone in the community had had this error on a 8100 or similar printer sometime in the past,

and had some hints or info. 

I suppose I will next try to find a HP repair shop in my county.

Request you to update printer firmware. Kindly refer to the steps on this link and let me know if that fixes the issue.

Please refer to this link and check if the ink cartridges installed are within the expiry date. If not, the ink cartridges need to be replaced with new ones.

HP Smart is unable to establish communication with the printer.

The USB001 printer shows online but goes offline when HP Smart tries to get status.

Another printer icon shows "offline" always.

It seems that the printer is in non-communication mode while the error is blinking.

I do have new HP ink installed.($120 now wasted).

I suggest you reinstall the driver and connect the printer to check if that fixes the issue.

 

You can follow the steps under this link to uninstall.

 

Furthermore, you can reinstall using HP Smart App from this link.
