I have an error message on my Officejet 8500a that says "Open the print-carriage door, clear the jam, and then touch OK to continue." I have tried every troubleshooting step I can find online, watched youtube videos on the issue and nothing seems to work. What do I do now?

Hello KrazyToad,
Thank you for your assistance. I have completed all of these steps at least twice (except for Step 5 "Service the Printer) to no avail. The error message persists. What do I do now?

If the issue persists after performing all the troubleshooting steps, please contact HP Support in your region for service options
1) Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/
2) Select your product type below.
3) Enter the serial of your device.
4) Select the country from the drop-down.
5) Select the chat or get phone number options based on your preferences.
6) Fill the web-form and proceed further.
