Hi. I'm looking at the 87xx series, particularly 8720 - 8730 series, but can't find definitive differences between these models. Can anone please help explain?

Hi,
There are few 871x, 872x, .... . All 872x (x = 0 to 9) use same software, drivers, guides ... they have some minor differences: on different strores/distribution lines, markets... even colors
For example: searching for 8725, you will get all information for 8720 except number 5.

Welcome to HP Support Forum. HP Officejet Pro 87xx printers use many same components with few add-on parts. Please compare the following specs (at the bottom of page 2):
