Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'm trying to print a PDF file and it started out only printing the first line on the page in an outline format for each of the letters where the interior was white.  I'm using the wireless capability to print.  I tried resetting the network from the settings menu, and the factory printer defaults.  I also tried making sure that the printer had all the latest updates.  I turned it on, then off several times (waiting 30 seconds in between).  I've reinstalled the printer driver on my laptop.  I've unplugged the printer while it was still turned on instead of turning it off first.  I've tried printing all the different test reports from the menu and now it will only print the colors and some lines on the pages, but they're mostly blank.  It printed them before I did the resets and updates.  I am at a loss for how to fix it.  Can someone help please?

It seems like you are not able to print in black. Try making a standalone copy in black and color to check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

Let us try these steps:

Check the estimated ink levels

On the printer control panel, touch the Ink Level Indicator icon . The control panel displays estimated ink levels.

Replace any low or empty cartridges.

Clean the printhead

  1. From the printer control panel, open the Setup  menu.

  2. Open the Printer Maintenance menu.

  3. If necessary, open the Tools menu, and then touch Clean Printhead.

  4. If the print quality is unacceptable, touch Clean Again to continue the next level of cleaning. If necessary, repeat these steps for the third cleaning cycle.

NOTE: If the printhead is badly clogged, it might require another cleaning cycle. If so, wait 30 minutes before you perform all three levels of cleaning again.

Print a Print Quality Diagnostic Page, and then evaluate the results.

  1. Load plain white paper in the input tray.

  2. From the printer control panel, open the Setup  menu.

  3. Open the Reports or Tools menu.

  4. Touch Print Quality Report. Check if all colors and black have printed.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
