Out of the blue, my printer and computer are not communicating very well (other computers in the house can still print successfully). When I print, it shows as sent to printer in the Printer Queue. The printer displays "Printing Report" but does not print anything. Based on other questions in this forum, I did a power reset
Perform a power reset
- Turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
- Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Wait at least 30 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
- Turn on the printer.
I then used the HP Print and Scan Doctor, which found no problems, so I used that to uninstall the driver. I reinstalled the driver and I have the same problem. I don't know what else has changed. One morning I could print, the next day I could not.

Hi @2021printerprob,
I'd like to help!
I understand the print jobs disappear from the print queue.
Try the below suggestions -
Let's try and uninstall the printer software from the root level on your PC and install the full feature printer software.
--->In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
--->Select your HP printer.
--->Select Uninstall.
--->In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
--->In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
--->Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
--->Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
--->Click on the Drivers tab.
--->Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click remove at the bottom.
--->Select OK.
--->Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
--->Close Devices and Printers.
Rename the HPBXPSRENDER.DLL file
Follow these steps to rename the HPBXPSRENDER.DLL file.
-
Right-click the Start button
or the lower left corner of the screen, click Search, and then type %windir%.
-
Double-click the System 32 folder, double-click the Spool folder, and then double-click the Drivers folder.
-
Double-click the x64 folder or the w32x86 folder, depending on your operating system, and then double-click the 3 folder.
-
Right-click the HPBXPSRENDER.DLL file, and then click Rename.
-
Delete the DLL suffix, type OLD in its place, and then press Enter. The file name now displays as HPBXPSRENDER.OLD.
-
When the "If you change the file name extension, the file might become unstable. Are you sure you want to change it?" message displays, click Yes.
-
Close the window.
And then reinstall the printer full-featured drivers from the software and drivers page
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

I also tried setting my manual IP address per these instructions:
- Run your Web browser.
- In the Web browser’s address bar, type the IP address of your printer and press Enter. Assuming you entered the right address, the HP printer control panel should appear.
- Click the Networking tab.
- Under Connections, click Wireless.
- Under IP Address Configuration, click Manual IP.
- Enter the IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway in the appropriate boxes.
- Click Apply.
Same result. Sent to printer, printing report, nothing.
