Hi @Smvito
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The error code B89FBAE6 on an HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 typically indicates a problem with the printer's firmware or a hardware issue. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:
Restart the Printer:
- Turn off the printer, unplug it for about a minute, then plug it back in and turn it on.
Check for Firmware Updates:
- Go to the HP Support website and look for firmware updates for your model. If an update is available, download and install it.
Reset the Printer:
- You can try a factory reset. Check the printer's manual for instructions on how to perform a reset, as this can vary by model.
Clear Any Paper Jams:
- Open the printer and check for any paper jams or obstructions that might be causing the error.
Check Ink Cartridges:
- Ensure that the ink cartridges are properly installed and not empty. If you suspect an issue, try reseating the cartridges or replacing them.
Run the HP Print and Scan Doctor:
- Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

It's surprising - and disappointing to me - that no one in HP knows about this error message. I spent a long time chatting with another HP person... who could not resolve the issue. Whenever I turn on the printer, I only get the error message. I get no menu. No opportunity to click the back button, etc. The person I chatted with concluded it's a hardware issue but did not seem to know what hardware... or how or where I could get a replacement.
So frustrating.
