HP Officejet Pro X451dw Printer

So, my printer keeps getting stuck with the loading bar freezing about 25% through. I did see the following error codes once but haven't been able to replicate it after various attempts at hard restarts.

Error codes:

oxb850f49a0 po 0xe050f49a0

Anyone have advice?

Hi @theretrix,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The error codes you're seeing on your HP OfficeJet Pro X451dw suggest a potential firmware or hardware issue. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot and resolve the problem:

1. Perform a Hard Reset

  1. Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  2. Wait for about 60 seconds.
  3. Plug it back in and turn it on.

2. Check for Firmware Updates

  • Visit the HP support website and check if there's a firmware update available for your printer model. If there is, follow the instructions to update it.

3. Clear the Print Queue

  • On your computer, go to the Control Panel > Devices and Printers, right-click on your printer, and select See what's printing. Cancel any pending jobs.

4. Check for Paper Jams

  • Open the printer and check for any paper jams or obstructions that might be causing the printer to freeze.

5. Inspect Ink Cartridges

  • Ensure that all ink cartridges are properly installed and not running low. Sometimes, issues with cartridges can cause errors.

6. Reset the Printer to Factory Defaults

  • If the issue persists, consider resetting the printer to factory defaults through the printer's settings menu.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
