My Officejet Pro X476dw is showing two errors.
At startup, it says: Ink carriage cannot move.
And when fully started up, after a few seconds, it will give me: 0x610000d3
So I searched the internet and on this forum I found a troubleshoot 'guide'.
The first step was to check the paper tray. On the front it showed that it was completely full, showing a full white bar even with no paper. I should replace the printer if that's the case according to the guide.
When I open the ink compartment, I can see the carriage is stuck halfway.
Many solutions point at the motor at the back. I turned on the printer without the backplate to see if the motor would run.
It does, but it's making some weird noises. I've added a photo, maybe someone can see if the motor is at fault.
Could someone let me know what steps to follow next?

Your lifter motor could be failing. There is a worm gear on the motor and on older versions the gear could slide down off the shaft and cause intermittent issues of not lifting. The newer motors have a guard that keeps the gear in place. Pretty straightforward fix and the part is reasonable in cost. Part number is CN598-67027.
