Hello,

since this morning my printer shows Bluescreen with Error Code B8000418 at startup. I already tried to:

1. Unplug printer

2. Pull power cord from printer

3. Wait 60 seconds

4. Attach power cord to printer

5. Plug power cord back into wall socket, directly.

The error stays the same, the printer is not responding.

Please help.

Hi @RayCarth,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I understand that you are getting an Error Code B8000418 when you power on the printer and you are unable to bypass the error message.

Also, you have already tried to do a normal power reset, but it is still stuck on the error message.

Please try the below steps:

  1. Take out the cartridges.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the printer & wall.
  3. Wait for 30 seconds.
  4. Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, and ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not into a surge protector.
  5. Insert the cartridges back into the printer.

Also, try updating the printer's firmware. Refer to this document for steps - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

If the issue still persists, I have sent you a private message with the steps to perform a semi-full reset, Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
