Error printing.  The printer could not print the message.

I have Windows 10 (64-bit) now after my older Win 10 motherboard crashed and now my ole V40 will not print.  With the previous Windows 10 it was working just fine.  Help!

@MikeM11,

Welcome to the HP Forums 🙂 I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers. For you to have the best experience on the HP forum, you could also visit our HP Forums Guide for First Time Here? Learn How to Post and More. I see from your post that you're having issues while printing from your HP OfficeJet printer after reinstalling the Operating system. Don't worry we'll wok together to help you find a solution.

After reviewing your post I did go through the software and driver download page of the printer software and found that there is no full feature software available for Windows 10.

In this scenario, I would suggest here is to Install the printer drivers using Windows Built in drivers.

I would suggest here is to Uninstall the printer drivers and then try installing the Windows built-in drivers for the printer.

Simply turn on the printer and connect the USB cable from the printer to the PC. The drivers will be installed in 2-3 minutes. Go to Control panel - Devices and printers to check the printer entry and make it as default printer if needed.

Check http://hp.care/2nxKJv8 for additional instructions.

Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance!

Eagerly waiting for your response!

I hope you have a good day ahead,

And Feel free to ask your queries as this forum has some of the best people in the world available and ready to help.

Regards,
