Hi @elliebeth1,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If the web services button on your HP DeskJet 3755 is blinking amber, it typically indicates an issue with the printer's connection to the network or the web services themselves. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem.
Check Network Connection
- Ensure Wi-Fi is Working: Verify that your Wi-Fi network is functioning correctly and that other devices can connect to it.
- Reconnect Printer to Wi-Fi:
- Press the Wi-Fi button on your printer. The light should start blinking.
- Go to your router and press the WPS button (if supported) to connect the printer to the network.
Update Web Services
- Access the Printer's Control Panel:
- Tap the Web Services button (the one that is blinking).
- If prompted, follow the on-screen instructions to enable Web Services or to check for updates.
Check Printer Status
- Print a Configuration Page:
- From the printer’s control panel, navigate to Settings > Reports > Network Configuration or Printer Status Report. This will give you information about the network status and web services.
Reset Network Settings
- Restore Factory Defaults:
- Go to Settings > Network > Restore Network Defaults to reset the network settings and then reconnect to Wi-Fi.
Check for Firmware Updates
- Update Firmware:
- Connect your printer to a computer with the HP Smart app installed. Check for firmware updates and install any that are available.
Note:
- Ensure that your printer's ink cartridges are installed properly and that there are no paper jams, as these issues can sometimes affect printing even if the web services button is blinking.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
