I try printing from my iPhone to the printer through wireless connection. My iPhone sends the message and it is received by the printer, yet it will not print after the message, optimize and print.
May someone please advise.
Thank you

Hi @LouBar2Chi,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your iPhone is sending a print job to your printer but it's getting stuck on "Optimize and Print," here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
Step 1: Check Printer Status:
- Turn off your printer, wait a few seconds, and turn it back on. This can clear any temporary glitches.
- Check for Error Messages:
- Look at the printer’s display panel for any error messages or indicators (like low ink, paper jam, etc.) that might prevent printing.
Step 2: Ensure Proper Connection
- Wi-Fi Connection:
- Make sure your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your iPhone. You can check this via the printer's settings menu.
- Check Wi-Fi Signal:
- Ensure that the printer is within range of the Wi-Fi signal. Weak signals can cause issues.
Step 3: Restart Devices:
- Sometimes, restarting your device can resolve connectivity issues:
- Power off your router, wait for a few seconds, and turn it back on.
Step 4: Update Printer Firmware:
- Visit the printer HP website or use the printer's app (if available) to check for and install any firmware updates.
Step 5: Update iOS:
- Ensure your iPhone is running the latest version of iOS. Go to Settings > General > Software Update.
Step 6: Use a Different App
- If you're using a specific app to print (like Photos or Mail), try printing from a different app to see if the issue persists.
Step 7: Reset Printing System (iOS):
- Go to Settings > General > Reset and select Reset Network Settings. This will reset your Wi-Fi settings but can resolve printing issues.
Step 8: Remove and Re-add the Printer:
- Go to the print settings on your iPhone, find your printer, and remove it.
- Try to add the printer back via AirPrint.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
