Hello, my printer has not worked for months. It continues to give me an orange blinking light and I have done everything to troubleshoot it. I just ordered a new printer cartridge and replaced it and it's still not working my warranty just ended a little bit ago and of course it's broke. I don't know what to do at this point. I'm about to buy a new printer, but I'm hoping to see if anybody else is having the same issues. I'm on Mac Sequoia 15.2 (24C101).
Included the picture below to show a common message I get when I go to the website or anywhere in the app to look for this error. It doesn't exist.

What does HP Smart report:?
I assume you have a printer subscription or a printer account. What error messages, if any, are shown when you log into your account. if you do not have an account there is a real problem.
The message states that the printer can do a report but not otherwise print. That usually indicates an account problem.
New firmware came out Sep 18, 2024: version 20240813
do you have that version?
Connect using USB, download and install
The ink report seems ok but maybe fake ink? To check if an HP ink cartridge is genuine, look for a security label on the cartridge, scan the QR code on the label with your phone, and then go to HP's website hp.com/go/ok to verify the serial number on the label; if the label appears tampered or the serial number doesn't validate, the cartridge is likely not genuine.
If you signed up for any type of subscription or internet service, the printer needs to be online.
A lot of users have complained recently about some HP printers haveing an expired certificate and MacOS not allowing the printing. Possibly the firmware update can fix that or switch to secure Air Print. I have very little experience with MacOS.
if a printer report indicates a problem with an expired certificate then ===
