Hi, I changed the colour & black cartridges - black is fine. On the top panel the colour & black cartridges shows the full bars but after a second or so, an orange light comes on (permanent, not flashing) and the printer will not print. Pressing the X button and powering on & off do not work. Any help

@dawnwatcher, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP DeskJet 2810e All-in-One Printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
When the orange light (also known as the "Attention" light) on your HP DeskJet 2810e All-in-One printer is solid and the printer won’t print, it typically indicates an issue with the ink cartridges or another hardware issue. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve this issue:
Check Cartridge Installation:
- Make sure both cartridges are installed correctly.
- Open the ink cartridge access door.
- Remove and reinsert both cartridges, ensuring they snap into place.
Clean the Cartridge Contacts:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Remove both cartridges.
- Use a lint-free cloth or cotton swab lightly moistened with distilled water to clean the electrical contacts on the cartridges and inside the printer.
- Let them dry for about 10 minutes.
- Reinsert the cartridges and close the ink cartridge access door.
Use Genuine HP Cartridges:
- Ensure you are using genuine HP cartridges. Third-party or refilled cartridges can sometimes cause issues.
Check for Protecting Tapes:
- Verify that any protective tape covering the ink nozzles or contacts has been removed.
Printer Reset:
- Perform a printer reset by turning off the printer, unplugging it from the power source, waiting for 60 seconds, and then plugging it back in and turning it on.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
