How do I get the output tray & paper stop to pull out for legal size paper? I thought it should just pull out but the secretary at church broke the tray (same printer) trying to get it out. Is there something that has to be released in ordet to get the output extended to legal size?

There is a small blue release grip in the bottom left rear of the input paper tray. (By rear I mean the back side, where the grip is to pull out the tray). Press the latch in to release the input tray.
The output tray does not have a release, and they can "stick", especially if they have been used for years in the Letter size position I would suggest the following: remove any paper from the output tray. Grab the plastic paper stop and flip it to the up position. Now grab each end of the paper stop. Close the output tray to within about an inch of being fully closed. Next give a firm brisk pull on the ends of the paper tray (hold at the yellow arrows). This should release the tray so it can be extended to the legal position. I just tried that on three units here and managed to not break any of them. They were will stuck but will release with a brisk pull. The "trick" may be to mostly close the tray and then briskly pull evenly with both hands. I was not able to just pull the tray out if it was initially extended to the Letter position.

Thank you for your post. I was able to get the legal portion of the tray out however when I push the tray back in, the center connecting tray gets stuck again. I've looked under the tray to see if there is a clasp or clip of some sort that is getting stuck when I push the tray back in but was unable to resolve the issue.
Does anyone know if this is fixable or replaceable?
