HP 4500 printer suddenly will not print several newly created pdf files. It will print all other text, jpg, and older pdfs just fine, but it will not print these new pdfs that should not have anything different about them. They were created in the same way as the previous pdf files that print ok with similar content. When submitted to the printer these new files show up for a couple seconds in the print que and the printer head starts to move then the file disappears from the que and the printer goes back to standby. Nothing comes out of the printer. Not even a blank page. No error messages either. What woudl be in a pdf that prevents printing?
thnx

Those indicate nothing wrong with the printer BUT newly created files. Can you print new files on other printers ?
Regards.

Thnx, I will find out. Taking the recalcitrant files to a UPS store for a print test later today.
The files contain a matrix of posed portrait photographs (each photo is 300dpi) on each page. Largest file is 48 Mbytes. Smallest is 2.3 Mbytes. Would that content make any difference to this printer?
Just trying to print a proof copy using normal quality on plain paper. Print always worked on other pdf files with similar content. Only these latest files have this problem. I do not know what could be different about these files that would cause the printer to fail only on them.
BTW, the print view page that comes up in the prinert command/settings window before sending to the printer always looks good. These files simply disappear from the print que a couple seconds after sending to printer.
Printer diagnostics are all correct/normal.
