My printer will not print downloads that are PDF files.  I will print out the paper, mostly blanks with one or two characters on them.  Yes, the ink has been checked.  It will print out my own documents but not downloads.  Help!

Hi! @Eurosham, Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you.

I understand when you print PDF's from your printer it is printing blank pages.

Don't worry I'll try to help you out.

Did you make any changes to your printer?

Does the issue persist when you make a copy from your printer?

What application are you using to print PDF's?

Try reinstalling the PDF application and try printing again and check if the issue persists.

Try updating your MAC and PDF application to the latest version.

Could you please try performing below mentioned steps and see if that changes the output:

1- While printing, under Print dialogue>select Actual size under Page Sizing & Handling>check the box Choose paper source by PDF page size.

2- Click Printer>press Yes>under Pages>select Paper Handling from the drop-down options>check the box Scale to fit paper size and Print

Try the steps recommended below.

If the issue still persists after updating the driver try printing the PDF as an image.

Print the PDF as an image
Open the original PDF file, if necessary.
Click File, and then click Print, or click the Print icon (). The Print window opens.
Click Advanced. The Advanced Print Setup window opens.
Select the Print As Image checkbox, change any other settings as desired, and then click OK.
On the Print window, click OK again to begin printing.
If these steps resolved the issue, there is no need to continue troubleshooting.

Remove the printer queue from the list of printers, and then add it again. Doing so creates a new printing session.

  1. Make sure your Mac is connected to the Internet.

  2. In the Printers list, click your HP printer, and then click the Minus button  to delete it.

  3. Click the Add button .

  4. Find and select the name of your printer from the Printer list, and then click Add to add your printer. Do not select an HP Fax driver.

       NOTE:

If your printer does not display in the list, make sure the printer is connected, turned on, has power, and is ready to print.

  5. Click Print Using or Use.

  6. Select AirPrint from the list.

Your new printer queue displays in the Printers list in an Idle status .

  7. Try printing again.

Lastly, try updating the printer firmware and check if helps. Click Here
