Officejet 6700
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This is a printer problem, because it doesn't affect my second printer (Fuji Xerox). When printing out a pdf document or directly from Indesign, my HP Officejet 6700 prints about 10% too small. The document is 140x210 mm printed on A4, double-sided, at 100% (actual size) from Adobe Reader. I even tried printing at 109% scaling, no difference.

I believe it has something to do with print borders - but can't do double-sided AND borderless at the same time. I've had this problem before. I've searched but can't find a satisfactory solution.

If no solution then I guess I'll dump this printer and find one that works as it should.

By the way, I use the same settings on the HP and the FX printers.

I will printe with borders and it will add more borders when prirting duplex. To compensate to this, it will reduce size to fit to logical pages and print on physical pages.

Please try  to  Preserve Layout when print:

(a) Go to Printer properties or Printer preferences

(b)  Advance tab/option

(c) Set to No to remove the scaling.

Regards.

That is quite bizarre - turning off an expected default property. But your solution worked. I haven't seen it anywhere else.

Many thanks. Now, all I have to do is remember it.
