@Sawaliyaemitra, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I see that you're running into an issue while trying to print using the Internet Printing Protocol (IPP). I’d be happy to help you troubleshoot this.

From the request details you shared, it looks like the print request isn't formatted correctly or the printer URI might be incomplete. Let’s try a few steps to get this sorted:

Check Firewall & Network Settings

  • Some firewall settings may block IPP traffic. Temporarily disable your firewall and try again.
  • Ensure both your computer and printer are on the same network.

Restart Devices

  • Restart your printer, router, and computer. Sometimes, this simple step helps resolve connectivity issues.

If you're still facing trouble, could you let me know:

  • The printer model you’re using
  • The operating system on your computer
  • Any error messages you’re seeing

Looking forward to your update! Let’s get this working for you. 😊

Take care, and have an amazing day!

This same message started printing almost daily on our HP LaserJet Enterprise M612 printers. Most are connected using USB and two are on the network. This also prints if we reboot the printers. I tried updating one of the printers to the newest firmware. After the upgrade it still does the same thing.

I'm getting the same POST /IPP/print message.  Happens after power-cycling the printer and printing via USB.  Only started happening on March 3.  Have been using this printer for several years and have not seen this message before.  Is there any update on this issue?

@CVPNYC, I completely understand your concern, and I’m really sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Just to clarify, our support here is currently limited to HP consumer products, so I’m unable to assist with commercial products. However, if you have any questions or need help with an HP consumer product in the future, please don’t hesitate to reach out — I’d be happy to help!

Thank you for understanding, and I hope you have a great day.
