Hi @eysie,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

A "Printer Blocked" error can be caused by various issues, such as hardware problems, network connectivity, or incorrect settings. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

Power Cycle the Printer

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for 30 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.

Check for Paper Jams

  • Open the printer and check for any paper jams or debris. Make sure there is no paper stuck in the input or output tray.
  • Remove any jammed paper carefully.

Clear Print Queue

  • Go to your computer's printer settings:
    • Windows: Go to "Control Panel" → "Devices and Printers" → right-click on your printer → "See what's printing."
    • Mac: Go to "System Preferences" → "Printers & Scanners" → select your printer → click "Open Print Queue."
  • Cancel any pending print jobs that might be stuck.

Check Printer Status

  • Ensure that your printer is set to online. If it’s showing as offline:
    • Windows: Right-click on your printer in "Devices and Printers" and choose "Use Printer Online."
    • Mac: In "Printers & Scanners," check if the printer shows as "Paused" and click "Resume" if needed.

Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers

  • Go to the HP website and download the latest drivers for your printer model.
  • Uninstall the existing printer drivers and reinstall the updated ones.

Check Ink/Toner Levels

  • If the ink or toner is low, replace it or check for any issues with the cartridges.

Reset the Printer

  • For some HP printers, you can perform a factory reset:
    • Turn off the printer, press and hold the cancel button while turning it on, or follow specific steps outlined in your printer’s manual.

Wi-Fi and Network Issues

  • If you're using a wireless connection, ensure that the printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.
  • Reconnect the printer to the network if needed.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
