Hi @YAHOODI,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

There are a few things you can check to troubleshoot why your HP printer is not printing on both sides of the paper.

  • Check if your printer has a duplex unit: Make sure that your printer has a duplex unit installed. Duplex units are the components that allow a printer to print on both sides of the paper. If your printer does not have a duplex unit, you won't be able to print on both sides of the paper.
  • Check if your printer driver settings are configured to print on both sides of the paper: Make sure that your printer driver settings are configured to print on both sides of the paper. To do this, open the print dialog box in the program you are using to print and look for a setting that says "duplex" or "double-sided." If this setting is not selected, select it and try printing again.
  • Check if the paper you are using is compatible with duplex printing: Not all types of paper are compatible with duplex printing. Make sure that the paper you are using is compatible with duplex printing. Check your printer manual or the HP website for information on what types of paper are compatible with your printer.
  • Check if the duplex unit is installed correctly: If your printer has a duplex unit, make sure that it is installed correctly. Check your printer manual or the HP website for information on how to install the duplex unit correctly.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

I have a deskjet 26120 and up unjtil you changed the upgrade I was able to ask printer to do double side.  It stopped and gave option to turn paper.  This no longer happens and it rolls outr loads of single pages   Thye response all be it very clear does not relate to my printer.
