Officejet 4500 G510-gm
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

I have an Officejet 4500  G510gm.  After an abortive attempt to print a photo on glossy photo paper and my printed pages on normal paper now come out skewed. I have gone through the 'Align Cartridge' process several times without success.  Is it fixable or does in mean a new printer?

You mention an abortive attempt at photo printing.  Did the photo paper misfeed?  If so it is likely that ink was deposited on the rollers.  This would cause difficulty in feeding paper. The troubleshooting steps in the document here may help resolve the skewed printing.  Clean the rollers as shown in step four.

Thanks Bob. The photo paper did misfeed. All I got back was a blue band at the bottom of the page, which came from the photo. I will follow you advice and get back to you.

Hello again Bob.  Your solution worked perfectly.  All is now straight and correct.  Many thanks
