WHEN I TOUCH THE SCREEN TO MAKE A COPY OF A DOCUMENT THE TOUCH SCREEN DOESN'T RESPOND TO THE COPY COMMAND.  Also the screen is hung up with a "Scheduled Maintance" command.  I never scheduled such a task, and I can't get it to clear.  i touch the do later but it do not respond.

That's unfortunate 😞 I'm afraid, the only option left is to reset the printer to factory settings and re-initialize the printer from scratch. I've send you instructions on a private message on how to perform a full printer reset, since the reset instructions are specific to your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device. A warm welcome to HP forums! This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries.

Removing the ink cartridges and power resetting the printer may resolve the issue. Let's try these steps:

1) Make sure this printer is plugged into a direct wall, not a surge protector

2) Remove all of your ink cartridges from the printer and close the door

3) Remove the power cord from the back of the printer (Do no press the power button)

4) Plug the power cord back into the printer

5) Wait for the printer to turn on completely, then install the ink cartridges.

Let me know how it goes!

Unfortunately, it didn't work for me.  Now on the screen is a "Scheduled Maintenance message" that say

insert a sheet of plain white paper and press OK. To defer this until, press the right arrow.  I tried both and nothing works.  The message will not leave screen.
