when printing or copying i get an 'out of paper' message, i click ok and get a 'paper jam' message, i click ok and the printer feed through a blank sheet and then prints properly. however since i have renewed the print cartridge the printer wants to print the 'align' page but when i go through my usual routine it displays 'print cancelled' and loops back to the beginning. i got around this last time by powering the printer down overnight but that has not worked this time.

Try connecting the Printer to a different wall outlet directly.
