Appreciate continued interest to this frustrating problem. Have tried latest without success. Virtual Agent no help as it seems to think the PSC1410 is wirless connection and offers nothing new!

According to the computer all is well, no problems. Download from HP confirms all ok. Trouble Shooter can find nothing wrong. Printer is set as default and sending page shows up in queue, drivers for HP1400 appear when when checked via 'printui.ex/s'. Although they do not appear in drivers apps in W10 (Canon also used on this PC do) which is only oddity.

All attempts seem to end the same: all ok: 'connect your USB cable to the printer'. Varius cable tried which are ok when connected to Canon. PSC printer whirrs, then nothing, queue says printing - nothing!

Thanks again.

Have attempted again to solve connection problem - with same result as previously. Am not too competent on Internet but with online help manage to solve many. As previously mentioned have been convinced the drivers are the problem. Despite HP download indicating everything has installed correctly. PC hard drive indicates they have been but a complete search does not locate them. Therefore believe the recent Windows 10 updates has disabled the ability to do so.

All best,

MDS10
