Operating System: macOS 10.15 Catalina

My printer is stuck in checking the printer when I start it.

 

I've tried unplug the power cable from the back of the printer and the outlet.

 

I've also tried accessing the menu to do a factory reset but I've been unsuccessful.

 

Nothing works. PLEASE HELP!!

some background information: Did anything unusual happen before this situation arose, power outage, paper jams, spilled coffee? Even a minor incidence might provide a clue. Is the device detached from any communication cables such as network or usb? Sometimes a stale print job or data can cause the printer to not start up properly.
