Product: HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M477fnw

While trying to clear a paper jam MFP M477 I opened up the back and saw a smooth sheet that I thought was the photo paper I was using.  I couldn't see any paper - just a smooth shiny sheet wrapped tightly on a cylinder.  Unable to get it loose so I cut it and I think it was an actual part of the printer.  I pulled out a long piece of silver plastic in back of printer.  No sign of any paper.  I think I removed an essential component of the printer in my zeal to clear the jam.
