Hi @gjacksonusa,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you're encountering a paper size mismatch error on your HP 4100 series printer, here are a few steps you can take to resolve it.
Check Paper Tray Settings:
- Ensure the paper size setting in the printer's paper tray matches the size of the paper loaded. For example, if you have A4 paper in the tray, set the tray to A4 in the printer settings.
Verify Printer Settings:
- Go to the printer's control panel or menu and confirm that the paper size settings are correctly configured. Adjust the settings if needed to match the paper size you're using.
Check Print Job Settings:
- When sending a print job, verify that the paper size selected in the print dialog of your application matches the paper loaded in the printer.
Update Printer Firmware:
- Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer on the HP website. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve paper size issues.
Inspect Paper Path:
- Ensure there are no obstructions or paper jams in the paper path that might cause the printer to misread the paper size.
Reset Printer Settings:
- Try resetting the printer to its default settings. This can sometimes clear configuration errors related to paper size.
Reconfigure Paper Tray:
- Remove and reinsert the paper trays, making sure they are properly aligned and adjusted to fit the paper size.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
