@GGES, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding password issue!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If your printer's setup screen does not allow you to enter certain special characters like the exclamation point (!), there are a few steps you can take to resolve the issue:
Wi-Fi Direct Setup: If your printer supports Wi-Fi Direct, you can use the Samsung Easy Printer Manager or a similar tool provided with your printer to establish a direct connection with your device. The setup process may provide more flexibility regarding network password characters.
Modify the Network Password: Consider changing the network password temporarily. Access your wireless router settings and alter the password to one that the printer's setup screen can accept. After connecting, you can change the password back if desired.
Manual Configuration via Software: Use a computer to configure the network settings for your printer. Some setup software allows you to input passwords with a broader range of characters than the printer's screen directly. Insert the software CD that came with your printer into your computer and follow the setup instructions. This may provide an on-screen keyboard that includes the exclamation point (!).
Access Point via USB Cable: Connect your printer to a computer using a USB cable if possible, and perform the setup via the software provided or downloaded from HP's website. This method often allows more flexibility in entering complex passwords.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
