I have taken all the steps suggested, powered off, there is no paper jam, i have tried several hp cartridges. Loaded paper several times. I have seen suggestion to clean the contact points with a soft cloth. I do not see where that is in the printer  (or maybe the toner cartridge was meant.)

I have been using the last cartridge very long; maybe that has something to do with the error?

Hi @djbxx,

I understand your LaserJet M234sdwe is showing Error 075 even after trying multiple steps. Let’s go through a few checks to narrow down what’s causing it.

Remove and reinstall the toner cartridge
Take the toner out and gently shake it side to side 4–5 times to loosen the toner.
Reseat it firmly until it clicks into place.

Check the cartridge’s metal contacts
Look at the toner cartridge: on the left side, you will see two small gold/copper contact points.
Wipe them gently with a lint-free cloth to remove dust or residue.

Inspect the printer’s internal contact pins
Inside the toner cavity, on the left wall, you’ll see spring-loaded metal pins that touch the cartridge.
Make sure none of the pins are bent, stuck, or pushed down.

Remove any protective strip or packaging remnants
Ensure the orange seal strip on new cartridges has been completely pulled out.
Small pieces left behind can trigger Error 075.

Restart the printer with the cartridge removed
Take the toner out → power off the printer → unplug for 30 seconds.
Power it back on, wait for “Install toner,” then insert the cartridge.

Try another HP 141A/141X toner if available
Even sealed cartridges can occasionally be faulty, especially if stored for a long time.
If one cartridge works and another doesn’t, the issue is with the toner.

I hope this helps.
