Hi @TWomalley,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The error code "B89F9550" you mentioned does not appear to be a known error code for the HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 printer. Error codes typically provide specific information about the issue encountered by the printer.
However, there are a few general steps you can try to troubleshoot common printer issues.
- Restart your printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for a few minutes, and then plug it back in. Turn on the printer and check if the error persists.
- Update firmware and software: Visit the HP support website and check if there are any available firmware or software updates for your printer model. Install any updates to ensure that your printer is running the latest software.
- Check for paper jams: Open the printer's cover and check for any paper jams or obstructions in the paper path. If you find any, carefully remove the jammed paper and close the cover.
- Reset the printer: Some printers have a reset option in the settings menu. You can try resetting your printer to its default settings. Refer to the printer's manual or visit the HP support website for instructions on how to reset your specific printer model.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
