This printer error points to a jam inside the upper right door. After the door is closed it spits out a cleaning page. I notice a laceration on the fusor platen surface about a half inch gash. Is it mistaking the gash for a paper jam.

The spitting out of a page is standard post jam behaviour. The printer cycles the whole engine and ejects one page.

Can you describe further when you are getting the jam error. If you press print, does the printer appear to try to print but no page is ejected? It could be a worn pickup roller that is not feeding paper consistently. The gash in the fuser is unlikely to cause a jam code but paper could catch on it but then I would expect a jam in the fuser assembly. Is there an numeric error code showing on the display?
