I keep getting a"Photo Tray blocked" error when trying to print a regular 8x11. It's not blocked and all the basic tips have been attemteat. Take out, align, on off, etc. I have hardly used this thing and will NOT buy another. I've never even used the photo tray option why would I hey that error when I'm trying to print a regular document now.

Thank you for posting your query on HP Support Community,
I would suggest you to first remove and insert the photo tray. I would suggest you go through the steps suggested in this support document for - HP ENVY 5640, 5660, 7640 Printers - 'Photo Tray Problem' Error
Try removing the tray and then reinsert the same to try and fix the issue.
If you have followed the steps suggested and still having the issue, just to be sure, please check the setting below as this has resolved similar issues in the past:
- Go to Control Panel - Devices and Printer.
- Right-click on the Envy printer and select "Printer Properties".
- Navigate to "Device settings" and make sure the "Photo Tray" is selected as "Installed".
If the photo tray is selected as installed and if you are still facing the issues, then you can definitely contact the HP support to get the printer service options as this is a new printer.
HP Support team can be reached on www.hp.com/contacthp
I hope this information helps. Let me know if you need any further assistance.
